Ateme is a global leader in MPEG-4/H264 compression technology. We are a French company with head quarters based in Bièvres (near Paris) and we design advanced solutions for intelligent networked video, with a focus on the applications that demand the highest digital picture quality at low bitrates.
Our continued success and growth has produced a need for Engineers to join our R&D team specialized in video software coding.
Key responsibilities:
You will be responsible for:
- Designing and developing various software components in video and audio compression area,
- Writing synthesis note, activity reports and technical documentations regarding development,
- Improving technical, economic and aesthetic features of our products and processes,
- Involving in test and validation work.
Experience and skills required: Engineer degree (Bac +5) from a « Grande Ecole » or equivalent, with a significant experience (2 years minimum) in telecom, broadcast, or digital television industry.
- Excellent knowledge of C programming,
- Very good knowledge of audio and video codecs (Filtres DirectShow, H.264, DivX,
- AAC, Dolby AC3/AC3+…),
- Good knowledge of development tools (Visual Studio 2005, SVN, …),
- Skills in network development (TCP/IP, …),
- Good knowledge of DTV standards (DVB, ATSC, ARIB…)
- Knowledge of script language (shell Unix, Perl, Python, etc...) and DirectX and QT will be a plus,
- Capacity to work as a team, good interpersonal skills,
- Fluency in technical english.
Location : The role is based in Bièvres, near Paris.
