2009 - First 4:2:2 10-bit AVC/H.264 encoder and decoder pair

ATEME released an encoder-decoder pair mid-2009 supporting these tools, nearly a year ahead of any other compression vendor. This 3rd generation Kyrion encoder delivers a 2 fold gain in bit-rate over MPEG-2, from the low bit-rates used in News gathering to the highest quality needed for premium events.
