2004 - First massive deployment of an MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 software encoder

ATEME developed its first AVC/H.264 software codec in 2003 and obtained the best ranking in several public comparative trials. A commercial version was then co-developed with Nero and distributed under the NeroDigital brand to more than 80 million users within months – undoubtedly the first worldwide deployment of such magnitude.
